FRIENDS’ SUPPORT FOR THE MUSEUM
The existence of the Friends’ membership remains crucial to the Museum despite the Worcester Soldier Gallery Display being closed. The distinction between ‘Display’ and ‘Museum’ is an intentional one. Although the Display is in storage, meanwhile the work of the Museum i.e. research, care and management of the Collection continues at Dancox House. As Friends, we are still valued for our help in supporting fund-raising for new acquisitions, such as medals, and any vital conservation work. In addition, some Friends help as volunteer researchers at Dancox house by answering and supporting enquiries from members of the public for a fee.

BENEFITS
Friends of The Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire) are entitled to receive:
- Discounts on a wide-ranging programme of regular talks
- Updates on progress with the Museum and on military or historical research.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
If you would like to become a Friend of The Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire), there are two categories of membership that apply to individuals (separate terms apply for corporate membership – available on request).
Annual Membership: A donation of £15 for single membership (or more) or a donation of £20 for household membership (or more), paid by annual bank transfer. Exceptionally, payment may be made by cheque.
Life Membership: A single donation of £250 (or more) entitles the donor to life membership of the Friends. Exceptionally, payment may be made by cheque.
GIFT AID
As a charity, The Mercian Regiment Museum Trust is able to recover a substantial additional sum from the Inland Revenue in respect of each life and annual membership donation (currently 25p for each £1) donated by Friends who are taxpayers and who tick the appropriate box on the Gift Aid Declaration on the Application Form.

ADMINISTRATION
Receipt of forms and initial donations/bank transfers will be acknowledged.
Cancellation of a bank transfer or a failure to renew payment will result in cessation of membership.
